Mitchells Nutrition, a premium New Zealand supplement brand, brought us in to build a high-converting Klaviyo welcome flow that better reflected their values and encouraged first-time purchases. We redesigned their pop-up form, introduced audience segmentation based on buyer intent, and built a five-part welcome sequence focused on trust, education, and conversion. The new setup delivered immediate results, more than doubling the conversion rate, tripling click-throughs, and increasing revenue per recipient by 110 percent.

The Brief

Mitchells Nutrition is a New Zealand-based brand known for premium bone broths, collagen, and protein supplements. Their mission is to bring traditional nutrition to modern life, using clean ingredients and time-tested methods.

The team wanted to drive more revenue and collect more data from their website visitors. Their existing pop-up and welcome email setup didn’t reflect the quality or depth of the brand. The goal was to build a proper welcome flow in Klaviyo that felt considered, on-brand, and would start driving value from day one.

What We Did

I started by working with the team to segment their audience based on buying intent and life stage. From there, we built a five-part welcome flow with personalised touchpoints:

  • A tailored first email based on quiz answers, including a free sample offer
  • A follow-up sharing the story behind Mitchells and how Rob (founder and former pro snowboarder) built the brand
  • A product education email, focusing on benefits without buzzwords
  • A check-in with a gentle discount if they hadn’t ordered yet
  • A final nudge to help undecided subscribers take the next step

We also updated the pop-up form with smarter targeting and clear value upfront.

The Outcome

Across every key metric, the new welcome flow outperformed the previous setup:

Pop-up Performance

  • Submit rate: ↑ 179%
  • Total submits: ↑ 99%
  • Orders: ↑ 24%

Email Flow Performance

  • Click-through rate: ↑ 173%
  • Conversion rate: ↑ 141%
  • Revenue per recipient: ↑ 110%
  • Total revenue: ↑ 7.4%

And all this within 2 weeks of launching + from fewer recipients, because the new flow had just launched and hadn’t fully ramped up yet.
