The Garden Chess Company is the exclusive NZ retailer for Rolly Toys' German made, giant chess boards. These boards magically draw people of all ages into this timeless game, creating great atmosphere for any social event.
Raelene, the owner and manager of 'The Garden Chess Company,' approached me for a comprehensive website re-design and build, along with a platform migration to Rocketspark. The objective was to create an elegant online presence that reflects the quality and prestige of their German-made outdoor chess pieces, emphasising attention to detail.
The project involved optimising the ecommerce store, clarifying bundle options, and incorporating a dedicated section for returning customers to purchase replacement pieces. And the overall vibe was to reflect the timeless elegance of chess itself.
There were several iterations that predominantly involved small details in the copy to get the site to it's final state which it's still in today, almost 3 years later.
The positive outcome left such an impression that Raelene enthusiastically asked us to work on her Accounting site (Radar Office Professionals) as well, solidifying our partnership.
